A brand new 2026 build with two apartments on each floor: one facing the city, one the quiet courtyard. Five minutes on foot to the Sliema ferry and the seafront promenade.
Gzira Residence was completed in 2026 as a purpose-built small apartment block. Every fixture, appliance, piece of furniture and fitting is new — this is not a retrofit or a conversion of an older building.
The layout is simple and symmetrical: five floors, two apartments on each. One apartment on every floor faces the city side with a balcony; the other faces the quiet interior courtyard. The two fifth-floor apartments are penthouses with terraces instead of balconies.
Every apartment is two bedrooms (configurable as a double or twin on request), with an open-plan living and kitchen area, smart TV, sofa that can convert to sleep two additional guests, and air conditioning throughout.
Gzira (Il-Gżira in Maltese — "the island") is a quiet, local neighbourhood between Sliema and Msida. Unlike the more touristy parts of the coast, Gzira has a lived-in feel: Maltese families, university students, long-term expats. Local bakeries, a weekend street market, independent cafés.
The big advantage is the Sliema ferry terminal — five minutes on foot from the building. From there it's a ten-minute ferry across Marsamxett Harbour to Valletta. No driving, no bus, no parking. It's the best commute in Malta.
The seafront promenade is right here too. Walk left along it and you reach Sliema's Tower Road; walk right and you reach Msida. Manoel Island — a green, largely undeveloped strip — sits just across the creek.
